The Fine Arts Committee coordinates and promotes a greater use of the arts in Peoples Church and the surrounding community. The arts (as they relate to spiritual values) can enhance the quality of religious life. This group conserves and restores the art within the church, catalogs artwork in the church’s collection, researches history and other information regarding the art in the church, organizes and hangs a wide variety of exhibitions, publicizes fine arts activities, sponsors memorial gifts of artwork for the church, sponsors a modest collecting program of art, and attends to the care of all artwork in the church. The Committee’s focus thus far has been upon the visual arts: prints, paintings, photographs, sculptures, fabrics and other crafts, architecture and interior design.
