Council of Elders

The Council of Elders is the governing body of the Peoples Church, consisting of 21 members elected from the active membership to serve a three-year term of office and one representative from each of the four denominations of the Peoples Church.   

The Council is responsible for the spiritual, financial, physical, and overall welfare of the Church.  It assists the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastors in administering the sacraments or ordinances.  It presents, in its final form, an annual budget to the Church membership for approval at the January Budget Meeting.  It nominates a Senior Pastor for election by the active membership of the Church.  It is responsible for the employment and remuneration of all ministers and church staff.

The Council of Elders meets:
WHEN:  The fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE:  The Robertson Room (first floor of the church)
