Stewardship is a function of the Finance Ministry - 2012 Letter

The members of The Peoples Church recognize that everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God.  We believe that God calls each believer to return to God a portion of that which we has been so freely given to us, not because of God’s needs, but for the health of our souls.  We celebrate God’s goodness and bear witness to God’s blessings and the work of the Holy Spirit in the world with what we return to God.  As stewards of God’s bounty we are committed by faith to give, generously and joyously of our treasure, our time and our talents.

STEWARDSHIP CHAIRPERSON:  Wes Reedy

Endowment planning and education are functions of the Finance Ministry

The Peoples Church maintains an endowment fund with a spending policy that protects the endowment principle in perpetuity. Iinvestment earnings can be apportioned to the annual budget.  Due to the generosity of endowment donors The Peoples Church has been able to support capital improvements to our historic building and continue to operate at a steady level despite the economic downturn experienced over the past decade.  To the extent that additional principle donations are made, the church can increasingly benefit from this permanent income source.  To learn more about planned giving opportunities, click on the links below.  To speak to someone about planned giving, please contact one of our Pastors, the Chair of the Elders, or our Treasurer.
